Systems and Support Inc (SSI) is a computer field service company which was incorporated in 1990 in N Reading, MA. In 1994, the company moved to its current headquarters in Concord MA. Initially, the company competed directly with Wang Laboratories Inc (Wang) for computer field service maintenance contracts on Wang 2200, OIS, and VS minicomputer systems. Early in the 1990s, as Wang withdrew from the market, many Wang customers and independent software vendors converted their software from Wang computers to Intel PC based systems. Following its customer base, SSI began, in 1994, offering service and support contracts for Intel PC systems with UNIX, Novell, and Microsoft (MS) operating systems.

Today, over 95% of our product sales and contract service revenues is derived from Microsoft Windows servers (Windows Standard 2012 Server) and workstations (Windows 7 Pro) and their predecessors in LAN/WAN environments.  Our Backup Disaster Recovery systems run on Windows systems with backup data residing at the customer site and at our Private Cloud in Concord, MA 01742.
